Statement of Informed Consent in Research involving human subjects

If the scientific project involves human subjects, authors must state in the manuscript that the protocol has been approved by the Ethics Committee of the institution within which the research work was undertaken and include a statement confirming that informed consent was obtained from all subjects, according to the World Medical Association Declaration of Helsinki, revised in 2000, Edinburgh.

The statement has to be mentioned in "Materials and Methods" section, after the presentation of the study groups.
